Jeff has a Bachelor's Degree in Biology (Chemistry Minor) from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Jeff is a military veteran with over 20+ years of firearms experience. Jeff has worked for three different law enforcement agencies. Starting in federal law enforcement, Jeff went on to work for two other muncipal police departments. Federally, while with the United States Park Police, Jeff trained with his substation's S.W.A.T. team in San Francisco. Jeff was also a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) being certified through a police course at Santa Rosa Community College. Santa Rosa, California.
Jeff has also worked in the field of Executive Protection (BodyGuard work) for Gavin De Becker & Associates as well as Omega Options International. Gavin De Becker & Associates are renowned for a client list that includes many Fortune 500 CEO's and Hollywood Celebrities. While working at Omega Options International, Jeff received the most extensive tactics and firearms training of his life. Jeff has traveled for this work all over the United States and in China.
Jeff has also been a practitioner of mixed martial arts for most of his life. He has trained with some of the top ranked mixed martial artists during his training years. He received a commendation while at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) for teaching extracurricular "Ground Fighting" which was being added to the then changing Defensive Tactics curriculum to law enforcement personnel during his 20 week academy in 1999. Nowadays, Jeff trains from time to time. He still has the knowledge, but sees himself as more of a spectator than practitioner.

Jeff is the Founder of Seraphim Tactical, a Texas DPS LTC instructor, a Texas DPS level 3 instructor, and a Law Enforcement NRA Firearms Instructor. He is certified in pistol, shotgun, and rifle.
Jeff started his firearms experience throughout his life by being a 3 year member of his high school Army JROTC competition rifle team. Many civilian competitions followed years later.
